My name is Kimberly Price. I am an Iowa native who met my husband Nathan Price while attending the University of Northern Iowa as a Pre-Med student. As life has many twists and turns, I graduated with a BA in Spanish and an MA in English.
I moved to Des Moines in the fall of 2001, to work for Wells Fargo’s Immerging Markets Division. I spent the next 8 years having four babies; owning my own mortgage company and trying to keep up with the rat race we call life.
Although health and nutrition have always been at the forefront of my life, it wasn’t until I was diagnosed with Stage IV non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in June 2009, that the reality of what this meant came to life for me. Simply eating healthy and exercising was not enough, if other areas of my life were not in balance too. This was my opportunity to not only make some changes in my own life, but was a second chance to make a difference in the lives of those around me.
In July of 2009, only a month after diagnosis I enrolled in an accredited Nutrition program out of New York called Integrative Nutrition. Over the course of a year I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods with world-renowned experts such as Dr. Andrew Weil. I also completed a 120 hour colon hydrotherapy certification in LA, and a 250 hour Yoga certification.
Now in remission since June 2010, I have set out on a journey to help others realize the importance of their own health, and the things they can do to not only balance, but also better their lives.
Drawing on this knowledge, additional training and life experience, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
